“Deliberate interruptions within rhythms create a certain unpredictability and elements of surprise”
A close cooperation between Jeroen van Zwetselaar and artist Casper Faassen led to the creation of this gorgeous interior of the latter’s spacious semi-detached 1930’s house. It was neglected and in desperate need of lots of light, atmosphere and open spaces to create a pleasant atmosphere, restore it to its former glory and turned it into an artful family home. Combining the old and the new is an essential theme in both makers, and this comes back in the interior by showcasing old elements and reviving these by the addition of new elements with a unique touch, resulting in contrasts, which nevertheless preserves authenticity.
